Boulangère potatoes, or "the baker's potatoes," are a French potato dish created to be served as a light and flavourful side. With the air fryer method, they turn crisp and tender at the same time, making them the perfect companion to all sorts of main courses.
Preparation:Peel the 1 kg potatoes, and cut them into very thin slices with a knife or a mandoline.Cut the 1 pcs onion into thin slices and finely chop the 1-2 clove garlic.
Mixing:Put the potatoes, onion and garlic in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tsp fresh thyme, and 1 tsp Salt and pepper.Mix well.
Assembly:Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.(Use a preset, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)Place a third of the potato mixture in an even layer in the air fryer basket.Pour a third of the 300 ml vegetable stock over the top. Repeat this layer three times.
Cooking:Place the basket in the air fryer and cook for 35-45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and crisp.Turn them over during cooking if needed.Start the online kitchen timer here
