Ingen bedømmelser endnu
These light and airy cream puffs are cooked in an air fryer, which makes for a quick preparation with less oil. Filled with sweet vanilla cream and topped with your favourite jam, they're perfect for an elegant dessert or a sweet snack.
Bring 1 dl water and 50 g butter to the boil in a saucepan. Add 60 g wheat flour and stir quickly until the dough comes together and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
Let the dough cool slightly, then add 2 pcs eggs one at a time, whisking well after each egg.
Fill the dough into a piping bag with a star nozzle and pipe small mounds of dough into the air fryer basket (lined with baking paper).
Air fry at 200°C for approx. 20 minutes or until golden.Start the online kitchen timer here
Vanilla Cream:
Split 1 pcs vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. Heat 250 ml milk, the vanilla seeds and the pod to just below boiling point.
Whisk 2 pcs egg yolks (pasteurised) and 3 tbsp sugar together, then add 1 tbsp cornflour.
Pour the warm milk over the egg mixture while whisking. Pour the mixture back into the pan and heat while stirring until the cream thickens.
Remove the vanilla pod and let the cream cool.
Assembly:
Cut a small hole in the bottom of each cream puff and fill them with vanilla cream using a piping bag.
Top each cream puff with a teaspoon of 1 jar strawberry jam.
Notes
Make sure the air fryer is preheated and that the cream puffs don't touch each other, so they can rise and turn golden all around.
