A simple and quick way to cook a juicy ribeye steak, ensuring a perfectly cooked steak with a lovely, crispy exterior. By using the air fryer, we ensure an easy and clean process that minimises cleanup and maximises flavour.
Place 2 pcs ribeye steak (about 200 g each) on the kitchen counter about 20-30 minutes before cooking, so they can come up to room temperature.
Season both sides of the steak generously with 1 tsp Salt and 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper.
Lightly brush the steak with 1 tbsp olive oil on both sides.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.(Preset it, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)
Place the steak in the air fryer basket and cook for about 10-12 minutes for medium, or adjust the time to your desired level of doneness. Turn the steak halfway through the cooking time.Start the online kitchen timer here
Take the steak out of the air fryer and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This helps redistribute the juices in the meat.
Notes
- The cooking time can vary depending on the thickness of your steak and the specific model of your air fryer.- Use a kitchen thermometer to measure the internal temperature precisely.- For an extra smoky flavour, consider adding a little smoked paprika to the spice blend.
