Tartiflette is a classic French dish that combines potatoes, cheese, bacon and onions into a delicious, creamy gratin. This version is adapted for the air fryer, making the cooking quick and easy while preserving the authentic flavour.
Peel 1 kg potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Finely chop 2 pcs onions and 1 clove garlic.
Frying
In a pan, fry 200 g diced bacon until crispy and set aside.In the same pan, fry the onions and garlic in a little butter until soft and golden.
Potatoes
Boil the potato slices in salted water for about 10 minutes, until tender but still firm. Drain them well.
Assembly
In a baking dish with 1 tbsp butter for frying, add a layer of potatoes, followed by a layer of onions and bacon.Repeat the layers and finish with 200 g Reblochon cheese cut into slices. Sprinkle with 1 tsp salt and pepper.Pour 200 ml cream over the top.
Cooking in the air fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. (Preprogram, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)
Place the baking dish in the air fryer and cook for about 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden.Start the online kitchen timer here
Notes
Let the tartiflette rest for 5 minutes before serving so it can set slightly.
