Air-fried churros are a delicious and crispy version of the classic Spanish snack that's normally deep-fried in oil. By using an air fryer, you reduce the amount of fat while the churros still keep their signature crispiness and sweetness.
In a saucepan, bring 1 cup water , 2 tbsp sugar , 2 tbsp butter and ¼ tsp salt to a boil over medium heat.Until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add 1 cup plain flour all at once. Stir quickly and constantly until the dough forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
Add 1 pcs egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract , and stir well until the dough is smooth and even.
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
Pipe churros of your desired length straight into the air fryer basket, making sure to keep them apart so they don't stick together.
Air-fry the churros for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.Start the kitchen timer here
