Homemade French fries cooked in an air fryer offer a healthier alternative to traditionally deep-fried fries. They turn out crispy without using much oil, and the cooking is both quick and easy.
Peel 4 pcs baking potatoes and cut them into sticks of even thickness, about 1 cm wide.
Place the potato sticks in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove starch, which helps them become crispy.
Thoroughly dry the potato sticks with a kitchen towel.
Place the dried potato sticks in a bowl, add 1-2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp Salt to taste, and toss so all the sticks are evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. (Preprogram, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)
Distribute the potato sticks in the air fryer basket, making sure they don't sit on top of each other for optimal crispiness.
Cook in the air fryer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fries are golden and crispy. Start the online kitchen timer hereShake the basket or turn the fries halfway through cooking for even browning.
Serve hot.

Notes
Keep an eye on the fries towards the end of cooking, as the cooking time can vary depending on the model and efficiency of your air fryer.
