This cinnamon bread in the airfryer is a quick and easy recipe for a moist and aromatic bread with a delicious glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch or as a sweet snack. Using the airfryer cuts down the cooking time, and you get a bread with a lovely crisp crust and a soft, cinnamon-infused centre.
Preheat your airfryer to 180 °C for about 3 minutes.
In a bowl, mix 250 g wheat flour, 50 g granulated sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg.
Add 120 ml milk, 1 pcs large egg and 55 g melted butter to the dry ingredients, and stir only until there's no dry flour left – if you stir for too long, the bread turns tough.
In another bowl, mix 100 g brown sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon for the filling.
Place a piece of baking paper in the airfryer basket so it comes a couple of cm up the sides – otherwise the filling melts and runs out into the basket. Spread half the dough in the bottom, sprinkle with half the filling, then repeat with the rest of the dough and filling, and press the top layer of filling lightly into the dough.
Bake at 180 °C for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean (a little melted filling is fine, but no raw dough). If the top browns too early, lay foil over it and tuck the edges down along the basket so it doesn't blow up.Start online køkkenuret her
While the bread bakes, mix 120 g icing sugar, 1-2 tbsp milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for the glaze. Adjust the amount of milk to achieve the desired consistency.
Once the bread is done, let it cool for a few minutes, then pour the glaze over before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of cinnamon and sugar in the filling to taste.- For a vegan version, replace the milk with a plant-based milk and the butter with a vegan alternative.
