This recipe gives you a delicious and juicy Danish meatloaf, cooked with a modern twist in your airfryer. Perfect for a cosy dinner with family or friends.
In a large bowl, mix 500 g minced veal and pork with 1 pcs onion, 2 clove garlic, crushed, 1 pcs egg, 1 dl milk, 1 dl breadcrumbs, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, chopped 1 tbsp fresh thyme, 1 pinch salt and pepper. Knead the mixture together well, until all the ingredients are well combined.
Shape the meat mixture into an elongated hare shape on a baking tray or a piece of baking paper. Place 4 slices bacon on top of the meat mixture, and press them down lightly to make sure they stay in place during cooking.
Place the hare shape in the airfryer basket and cook for 25-30 minutes at 180℃, or until the meat mixture is cooked through and the bacon is crisp and golden.Start the online kitchen timer here
When the meatloaf is done, carefully remove it from the airfryer. Let it rest for a few minutes before you slice it and serve.
Notes
The cooking time may vary depending on your airfryer's model and capacity.
Keep an eye on the meat mixture during cooking so the bacon doesn't get too dark.
