This recipe for granola in the air fryer gives you a delicious, crispy and healthy breakfast mix that's quick and easy to make. Perfect for a busy day.
Preheat the air fryer to 160°C. (Pre-set the programme, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)
Mix Ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix 200 g rolled oats, chopped 50 g almonds and 50 g walnuts, along with 50 g coconut flakes.
In a small bowl, stir together 3 tbsp maple syrup, melted 2 tbsp coconut oil (melt briefly over low heat, e.g. in a water bath), 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 pinch salt.
Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and stir well until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
Cooking:
Line the bottom of the air fryer basket with parchment paper for easier cleaning. (optional)
Spread the granola mixture evenly in the basket.
Place the basket in the air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring every 4-5 minutes to ensure even browning.Start the online kitchen timer here
Cooling:
Once the granola is golden brown, remove it from the air fryer and let it cool completely on a baking tray.
Add 50 g raisins (or other dried fruit), once the granola has cooled.
Notes
- The granola can be customised with your favourite nuts and dried fruit.- Keep an eye on your air fryer's capacity and adjust the amount if necessary.
