These piroshki are an easy and delicious snack or main course, perfect for quick meals or as part of a party menu. Cooking them in an airfryer makes them extra crispy without using much oil.
Mix 250 g wheat flour and 1 tsp salt in a bowl. Dissolve 25 g yeast in 150 ml lukewarm water and add this along with 2 tbsp olive oil to the flour.Knead the dough well and let it rise covered for an hour.
Prepare the filling by sautéing:1 pcs onion and 1 pcs garlicin a pan until the onion is translucent. Add 150 g minced beef and brown it. Season with 1 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp black pepper and 1/2 tsp salt. Finally, add 100 g fresh spinach and 1 pcs tomato, and let everything simmer for a couple of minutes.
Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.Roll out each piece into a circle about 15 cm in diameter. Distribute filling and 75 g grated cheese over half of each circle and fold the dough over so it forms a half-moon. Press the edges together with a fork.
Preheat the airfryer to 180°C.(Pre-program, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)Place the piroshki in the airfryer and bake them for about 15-20 minutesStart the online kitchen timer hereOr until they are golden and crispy.
Serve warm.
Notes
The piroshki can be brushed with a beaten egg for an extra golden surface.
