Pommes Anna is a classic French potato dish consisting of slices of potato layered and baked with butter. This recipe adapts the dish for an air fryer, so you can enjoy crispy potatoes with minimal effort.
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C. (Preset it, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)
Cut 800 g potatoes into very thin slices using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
Melt 100 g butter and brush the bottom and sides of your springform pan or air fryer container.
Place a layer of potato slices in the bottom, brush with butter, and season with 1 tsp Salt and 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper.
Repeat the process layer by layer until all the potato slices are used. Gently press the potatoes together to compress the layer.
Place the container in the air fryer and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and crispy.Start the online kitchen timer here
