Salmon lasagna with spinach in the air fryer: Easy, healthy, and a delicious gourmet experience. Perfect for cosy evenings with the kids or your guests.
Prepare the Ingredients:Finely chop the onion and garlic. Rinse and drain the spinach. Cut the salmon into smaller pieces.
Sauté the Spinach:Heat a little olive oil in a pan and sauté the spinach, onion and garlic until the spinach wilts. Season with salt and pepper.
Make the Ricotta Mixture:In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with dill, a little salt and pepper.
Make the Milk Mixture:In a small saucepan, heat the milk and cream. Add the grated parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese melts. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Lasagna:Start by placing a layer of lasagna sheets in the bottom of the lasagna dish. Add a layer of salmon, then the spinach mixture, and finally the ricotta mixture. Repeat the process until all the ingredients are used. Finish with a layer of lasagna sheets and pour the milk mixture over the top.
Cook in the Air Fryer:Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. Cover the lasagna dish with foil and place it in the air fryer. Cook for about 25-30 minutes, or until the lasagna is golden and heated through.
Serving: Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Cooking Tips:
Fresh Ingredients: Use fresh spinach and good-quality salmon for the best flavour.
Lasagna Sheets: If you use dried lasagna sheets, it's a good idea to pre-soak them in warm water for a few minutes to make sure they cook through completely.
Even Distribution: Make sure to spread the ingredients evenly across the layers, so every bite has a good balance of salmon, spinach and cheese.
Check the Cooking: Since air fryers vary, keep an eye on the lasagna while it cooks to avoid it getting too brown.
Serving Suggestions:
Fresh Herbs: Garnish with fresh herbs like dill or parsley to add freshness and colour.
Salad: Serve with a light mixed green salad with a simple vinaigrette to add freshness and balance.
Bread: A piece of crusty baguette or focaccia bread is excellent for soaking up any sauce.
White Wine: A cool, dry white wine like Pinot Gris or Chardonnay will complement the flavour of the salmon perfectly.
Lemon: Serve with a wedge of lemon to squeeze over, which will bring out the flavour of the fish.
