Stuffed Pizza in the Airfryer
This recipe for stuffed pizza, also known as a "UFO" pizza or calzone pizza, is a fun and delicious way to enjoy pizza with a twist. Cooked in an airfryer, you get a crispy base with a juicy, generously filled top.
Equipment
- 1 Airfryer Fryinn Lite 2000 Perhaps Denmark's cheapest airfryer?
- 1 HOLM Kokkeskål Ø20x12 cm 3 liter Black
- 1 Rolling pin
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting board
Ingredients
- 250 g pizza dough
- 100 g pizza sauce
- 150 g grated mozzarella
- 50 g ham
- 50 g mushrooms
- ½ pcs red onion
- 1 bunch fresh basil
Instructions
- Roll out 250 g pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the dough into two equal squares.
- Spread 100 g pizza sauce over one half of each square, leaving a small edge ungreased.
- Top with 50 g ham in strips, 150 g grated mozzarella, 50 g mushrooms sliced, and ½ pcs red onion sliced.
- Fold the uncovered dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal them.
- Preheat the airfryer to 180°C.(Pre-program it, or let it run for a couple of minutes before cooking)
- Place the pizza in the airfryer basket and cook at 180°C for 8-10 minutes, or until the pizza is golden and crispy.Start the online kitchen timer here
- Garnish with 1 bunch fresh basil, and optionally tomato sauce on top before serving.
Notes
For a crispier base, you can pre-bake your dough for 3-4 minutes before adding the filling and folding the dough.
