Welcome to my side dishes section! I’m Morten from airfryerkogebogen.dk, and for me, the side dishes are often what completes the entire dinner. I’ve spent countless hours at the kitchen counter testing everything from crispy potatoes and oven-baked root vegetables to roasted nuts and quickly stir-fried vegetables in my airfryer. Through this direct, hands-on experience, I’ve discovered exactly the methods that deliver the most flavorful and crispiest results, so you can confidently say goodbye to boring, overcooked sides.
When the main course is ready, the side dishes need to be spot on. That’s why I share only my own thoroughly tested expertise and original recipes here on the site. You can fully trust that my guides are honest, accurate, and reliable. I’ve done the groundwork and made the mistakes, so you’re always guaranteed a perfect and tasty result, whether you’re serving meat, fish, or a vegetarian menu.
Leaving the side dishes to the airfryer has made my cooking significantly easier and much more fun. Here are the reasons it’s my everyday go-to routine:
That’s a question I often get! My most reliable method is to thoroughly rinse the cut potatoes to remove the starch, dry them completely in a clean tea towel, and toss them with just a tiny bit of oil. Also, remember to shake the basket 2-3 times during cooking, so the air reaches all sides.
Yes, absolutely. And in my experience, you actually get by far the best result by pouring them into the basket straight from frozen. Thawing often makes them mushy, while the intense heat from the airfryer quick-fries them and preserves a lovely, firm bite.
It’s tempting to fill the basket all the way up when you’re hungry, but don’t! For the air to circulate and crisp up the food, I always recommend filling the basket maximum halfway up, especially when it comes to french fries and mixed vegetables.
