Yes, I strongly recommend it! Cookie dough is often very soft, and without baking paper you risk the dough melting down through the rack during baking. Just remember to cut the baking paper to size so it only covers the bottom beneath the cookies and still lets the air circulate freely around the sides.

How do I keep my cookies from blowing around?

Because the airfryer uses a powerful fan, very light cookies can shift slightly. My best tip is to press them down gently onto the baking paper and leave plenty of space between them so they don’t bake together in the basket.

Won’t cookies be soft on the inside?
