Welcome to my big section on main courses! My name is Morten from airfryerkogebogen.dk, and for me dinner is the absolute highlight of the day. I have stood in the kitchen countless evenings testing everything from whole roasts and crispy chickens to delicate fish dishes and hearty vegetarian meals. Through my direct first-hand experience, I have figured out exactly how to transform an everyday dinner into a culinary experience – right in the airfryer.
When the family sits hungry at the table, the food has to be spot on. That is why I share exclusively my own thoroughly tested expertise and honest recipes that I have put great effort into developing. You can fully trust that my guides are accurate and safe, so you can impress both yourself and your guests with a perfect and delicious result every single time.
Moving the main course from the traditional oven or frying pan over to the airfryer has been a true revolution in my kitchen. Here are the reasons it has become my absolute favorite method:
Yes, absolutely! The most important thing is to know your machine’s capacity. In my experience, a standard whole chicken (about 1200-1400 grams) or a nice pork roast fits perfectly in most drawer models. Just make sure the air can circulate over the meat so it does not touch the heating element.
Fish is delicate, but the airfryer is fantastic at cooking it gently. A reliable trick I always use is to place a small piece of cut baking paper in the bottom of the basket or to lightly oil the rack. That way the salmon or cod releases perfectly when done.
Absolutely. You just need to think about the cooking time. A safe tip is to start with the meat (e.g. chicken breast) and then add the vegetables to the basket for the last 10-15 minutes of cooking. Then the whole main course is done at exactly the same time.
