Yes, many appetizers are absolutely brilliant to prepare ahead. My best and most tested experience is to get everything ready (e.g. stuffing the mushrooms or rolling the puff pastry snacks) in advance and just store them in the fridge. Then it often only takes 10-12 minutes in the machine when you’re ready to eat.
Not if you know the right trick! I always recommend brushing the bread lightly with a bit of good olive oil and giving it a short time at high heat. That gives a safe and reliable crispiness on the outside, while the center still has a nice bit of chew, completely without becoming bone-dry.
Puff pastry needs intense heat to puff up beautifully, and the airfryer is a master at exactly this. However, you need to make sure not to place your snacks too close in the basket. The air must be able to circulate freely all the way around to ensure even baking and crispiness on all sides.
