Why carrot rolls with sunflower seeds are so delicious

Carrots are known for their high content of beta-carotene, fiber, and vitamins, while sunflower seeds offer a boost of healthy fats, vitamin E, and minerals like magnesium. When these two ingredients are combined in a roll, you don’t just get a burst of flavor, but also a nutritious snack that fits perfectly into a healthy lifestyle.

Why the carrot rolls turn out extra fluffy in the air fryer

The air fryer’s rapid heat circulation gives the carrot rolls a perfectly warm “puff,” so they become exceptionally fluffy and spongy inside – without burning on the outside. You get a crispy, golden crust and a soft crumb in just 15-20 minutes. Try my chocolate rolls in the air fryer too for a sweet variation.

I recommend this warm and aromatic coffee with our carrot rolls with sunflower seeds

There’s something truly special about enjoying a freshly baked carrot roll with a good cup of coffee – the aroma alone is an experience. I prefer a medium roast Arabica here, because its mild acidity and soft, nutty notes play perfectly against the rolls’ sweet carrot and the crunchy sunflower seeds. A coffee that’s roasted too dark will overpower the delicate flavor notes in the bread, while one roasted too light can taste flat. I can warmly recommend Freehand Gently Coffee Beans – 1 kg. – it’s among my breakfast favorites, and it simply lifts the whole thing to another level.

Air fryer carrot rolls perfect as a side dish:

These carrot rolls with sunflower seeds are incredibly versatile. They can be served as part of breakfast, used as sandwich bread for lunch, or as a tasty and healthy side for dinner. They’re also ideal to take on the go or enjoy as a filling snack.

Diluted honey can be brushed onto the rolls to give a sweet and smooth surface. It can also help create a beautiful golden color.

Frequently Asked Questions
